Instruction is provided to consumers at their homes or in the community. We stress personal and social problem solving as these relate to accessibility for greater independence. It is implicit for everyone and that the needs and concerns of disabled and non-disabled community members are similar in nature. Therefore, our mission is twofold: assist individuals in learning to access services and information, and to promote awareness of accessibility. Training is provided in several categories: Community Utilization; Cooking, Functional Academics, Health, House Maintenance, Interpersonal Life Skills, Meal Planning/Nutrition, Money Management, and Problem Solving.
This program is for people who need support within our community to achieve inclusion through empowerment. This service includes, but not limited to: Transportation, Housing Assistance, Community Integration, Assisted Services within the community, and Advocacy.
This service involves advocacy and paralegal assistance. This includes advocacy and paralegal assistance which can include: Social Security (advocacy, assisting with filing, completion of Social Security forms and information for all claims, appeals and hearings) Medi-Cal, County Medical Services Program (CMSP), Housing Assistance, and In Home Support Services (IHSS).
Here’s the Deal would like the opportunity to speak to individuals or groups to advance the issues of the disabled in our community, and to encourage the inclusion of these citizens into existing social and community organizations to erode both physical and social barriers within our community. There is a fee based on a sliding scale for these services.
